Damascus Steel. Hand Forged with 1095 & 15N20 High and Low Carbon Steel with over 375 Layers.
Natural Camel bone is known for its consistency and durability. Bone has been used in this application for centuries, so you can be sure it will stand up to everyday use.
Letter openers resemble paper knives, which were often made of the same materials and were also used to cut open letters.
Sheath
This is a handmade leather sheath for your letter opener. Hand cut, hand stitched, and beveled. The vegetable tanned leather is thick and heavy duty. This sheath will last you many years and look good doing it!

Not mass produced. All our Damascus products are hand forged, one item at a time by expert craftsmen. There will be some variation in color, Damascus pattern, and overall look of each product.

Care & Maintenance
Damascus Steel Care
The care and maintenance of Damascus steel is much like that of Carbon steel: moisture must be avoided. History is on your side, and a cool patina is in your future. Once your item has a patina it is easier to keep clean.
Important to Know: Damascus is NOT dishwasher safe.
Do not overthink taking care of your amazing Damascus steel products. Wash with soap and running water. Wipe dry. We recommend using mineral oil when possible. Mineral oil is food safe, cheap, and readily available (or a silicone cloth).
Keeping Damascus steel stored in leather is not a good long-term solution unless the steel is well oiled.
